Construction
These masks are built up in several layers. This type of mask is the right choice for the general public to protect themselves from infections in public.
Protective function
These masks reliably protect against airborne particles. To do this, they must be worn close to the face - and not used repeatedly. There are different standards around the world for measuring the performance of protective masks. The European standard FFP2 filters out at least 94 percent of all particles from a size of 0.6 μm in the air. These masks close tightly to the face and thus protect the wearer of the mask from aerosols in the air.
How is a CE-certified FFP2 mask correctly marked?
- Designation: Victoris
- CE mark & 4-digit number
- Specification of standard & year of publication: EN 149: 2001 + A1: 2009
- Classification: FFP2 NR
Important: the 4-digit number identifies the registration office. Not all approval bodies are accredited to certify protective masks!
