Intended use

The SARS-CoV-2 Antigen Rapid Test is an immunochromatography-based, one-step in vitro test. It is designed for rapid, qualitative detection of antigen to SARS-CoV-2 in anterio nasal, oropharyngeal or nasopharyngeal swabs in suspected COVID-19 subjects within seven days of symptom onset. The SARS-CoV-2 antigen rapid test is not intended as a basis for diagnosing or ruling out infection with SARS-CoV-2.

Test principle

In the test, sample extracts (nasal swab) are applied to the test cassettes. If there is SARS-CoV-2 antigen in the extract taken, the antigen binds to the highly specific, monoclonal SARS-CoV-2 antibody. A complex is formed and then the final colour reaction (band) occurs. The procedure guarantees a rapid result (approx. 15 minutes).

Important notes

This test may only be carried out by trained personnel and exclusively under the responsibility of the professionals named in the Regulation (in accordance with the requirements of Article 24 of Covid 19 Regulation 3). In case of any misuse, abuse, resale and private use, any liability is declined.

If you (only companies, no private persons) do not have the possibility to have the test carried out by a professional, please contact us.

Fairmask has specialist staff (nurses) trained by doctors and offers a rapid testing service to companies.

A negative rapid test result means that the person is most likely not infectious at the moment. The result is therefore a snapshot and is only valid on the day of the test. Despite a negative rapid test, it is possible that the person tested is infected and can pass on the virus. Therefore, adherence to hygiene and behavioural rules remains important even if the result is negative.

A positive result from a rapid test must be confirmed with a PCR test.
